5/8" Pulleys and Arborist Blocks

5/8" capacity blocks and pulley are a good choice for everyday rigging situations. Good ropes to use with a 5/8 " pulley or block are 5/8" Samson Stable Braid, and 5/8" Husky Double Braid. We carry a wide selection of pulleys and blocks in this size, including double sheave pulleys, prusik minders, and true arborist blocks, like the aluminum Hobbs block. Please note that Working Load Limits (WLL) are listed at 10% of the Breaking Strength (Breaking Strength.) This is a safer ratio to use than the 5:1 ratio commonly used for lifting applications, as tree work involves the risk of shock loading, and it is the same ratio used when calculating the Working Load Limit of Arborist Rope.

5/8” Stainless Steel Arborist Block

This best selling Arborist Block features a wide upper bushing to maximize sling strength and wide side plates to protect the rope from abrasion. One-piece design eliminates lost parts. 3" lower sheave will accept bull ropes up to 5/8" diameter. Stainless steel side plates, aluminum bushing, and zinc-plated steel axle means this pulley stands up to the elements as well as the load.

5/8” Spring Block Block

The 5/8” capacity spring block is one of our most popular large arborist blocks. The design is compact and the unique upper sheave design is quick to open & close and secures easily, plus it eliminates the chance of dropping a sheave. The side plates are thick aluminum with a yellow powder coating to enhance the durable life of the block. Strong and durable.
