WesSpur stocks specialty arborist pulleys that are ideal for creating highly efficient hauling systems. Self-jamming pulleys make great progress capture devices. They are often used in rescue operations and to haul lots of gear on a climb, and are a great way to raise a heavy chainsaw into a tree without fear that someone losing their grip on the rope could send an expensive tool crashing to the ground. We stock two versions of the Petzl self-jamming pulley, the Traxion and the Mini Traxion. We also stock pulleys with built-in swivels so that the rope fairleads without effort and the direction of pull is always the most efficient. Single sheave and double sheave swivel pulleys are available. A standard swivel is also available without any pulley sheaves.
For effective and comfortable hauling of heavy loads with built-in progress capture features. These pulleys are really 3 devices in 1: pulley, self-jamming pulley, and rope clamp/grab. Can be used to haul a load, raise a person, set up a hauling system or self belay. Also work well for Tyrolean traverses and ascending, and are an indispensable device for any rescue kit. The Pro Traxion has safe working load of 6knN(1,350 lbs.) as a pulley and 4kN(900 lbs.) as a self-jamming pulley. Lower becket , large diameter sheave mounted on sealed ball bearings, chrome plated steel cam, swinging side plates, 1/2” capacity.
For effective and comfortable hauling of heavy loads with built-in progress capture features. The Mini Traxion is really 3 devices in 1: pulley, self-jamming pulley, and rope clamp/grab. Can be used to haul a load, raise a person, set up a hauling system or self belay. Also works well for Tyrolean traverses and ascending, and are an indispensable device for any rescue kit. The Mini Traxion has a safe working load of 5kN(1,100 lbs.) as a pulley, 4kN(900 lbs.) as a self jamming pulley. Swinging side plates, 1/2” Capacity, self-lubricated bushings & chrome plated steel cam.
The Omni block pulley has a built in swivel to help ensure that the rope fairleads in and out of the block so that all pulling force is placed squarely onto the sheave. This helps to preserve the breaking strength of the system and to prevent the rope from abrasion with the cheek plates. Ideally suited for use as a false crotch with a climbing line, the Omni block will help to prevent the rope from getting twisted. 1/2” capacity.
WLL 810 lbs. Breaking Strength 8,100 lbs.
This double block is ideal for creating mechanical advantage when lifting branches, pulling trees against the lean, or pre-tensioning a rigging line. Built in swivel to help ensure that the rope fairleads in and out of the block so that all pulling force is placed squarely onto the sheave. 1/2” capacity.
WLL 810 lbs. Breaking Strength 8,100 lbs.
Anodized aluminum side plates, two 3 inch aluminum sheaves, bushing and stainless steel axle. Can be mated with Maxi Rigplate for maximum rigging options. 22,000 lbs. breaking strength, 3/4 inch capacity.
This double pulley is designed for cable or rope tyroleans with an integrated Petzl Vertigo carabiner built-in. It's ideal for use in forest adventure parks or your home-made zip-lines. The Trac is easily installed with one hand, and the aligned sheaves and sealed ball bearings will give great performance with minimal friction and maximum efficiency. 1/2” capacity. Not designed for use in rigging zip-lines. (See our speed line kit for use with branches and logs.) WLL 450 lbs. Breaking Strength 4,500 lbs.
Swivel with large rings that turn freely. Great for all manner of rigging and climbing systems. 8,100 lbs tensile strength (36kN).
A frictionless suspension point for climbing lines, the Cocoon can be used in several different ways. With a nylon or spectra webbing sling, it can be quickly girth hitched nearly anywhere. With a prusik loop, it can be attached midline to another rope to forma retrievable false crotch. Sleek and compact, rated at 22 kn along main access (4,950 lbs.)
