Tree Climbing Helmets
One of the most important safety items for tree climbing is the climber's helmet and we have a selection of helmets and hard hats for you to choose from. We stock the very popular Petzl Vertex 2 and Best 2 helmets as well as the Petzl Alveo, Kask Super Plasma, and the super durable Kevlar helmets. We also stock a range of hard hats for use on the ground. It is recommended that anyone working at heights wear a helmet and not a hard hat, as hard hats are designed to protect from objects falling from above only, and climbers face potential injury from the sides as well, making a climbing helmet designed to protect from side and back impact necessary. We have several kits available with helmets or hard hats which feature combined eye and ear protection.
Vertex 2 Vent
The newly redesigned Petzl Vertex 2 helmets are our most popular choice for work at heights. The new Centerfit adjustment system with two adjustment knobs ensures optimal fit and stability by centering the head inside the shell. Compatible with Peltor ear muffs and Peltor wire mesh visor or clear plastic Petzl Vizir. The vent holes on the Vertex 2 Vent have shutters to adjust air flow. Shock absorption is achieved through deformation of the outer shell. Range of adjustability is 20.9” - 24.8”. Weighs 16 oz. Made in France.
Petzl Alveo Vent Helmet
The new Alveo Vent is Petzl's lightest weight and most ventilated helmet yet. It fits closer to the skull than the Vertex and is therefore more stable and less noticeable. The new Centerfit adjustment system with two adjustment knobs ensures optimal fit and stability by centering the head inside the shell. Compatible with Peltor ear muffs (SAF203 and SAF205) and Peltor wire mesh visor (SAF127) or clear plastic Petzl Vizir (SAF177). Shock absorption is achieved through deformation of the expanded polystyrene liner. Weighs 12 oz. Made in France.

Kask Super Plasma Helmet
The new and improved Kask Super Plasma helmets are the 2nd generation of this helmet. This new version has a more durable liner that resists breaking even under hard impacts. But it's still has the same great ventilation and compact stability of the original and is compatible with the same great accessories that made the original so popular.
The Plasma is lightweight, compact, comfortable and well ventilated with 10 air intakes that provide efficient cooling and ventilation. The air intakes on the outer shell are equipped with protective aluminum anti-intrusion grille that prevents entry of debris into the helmet. Size is quickly adjustable with wheel adjustment.
The outer shell is High Density ABS Plastic and designed to withstand significant impact from the above or side (meeting CE standards). The helmet's inner shell is made of High Density (HD) Polystyrene and has ducts that allow natural air flow and heat recycling. The inner padding consists of two different pieces (soft PE Polythene headband and disc) that are totally removable and washable. The liner is made of anti-allergic, odor-resistant fabric. Sold with adapters for mounting Peltor ear muffs (SAF205). Made in Italy.

Pacific Kevlar helmets are made from hard resin with injected Kevlar fibers. 6 point webbing suspension and a ratchet adjustment at the back give it a customizable fit.
