Climbing Line Kit Upgrade

This package contains everything needed to add a climbing line and split-tail set up to your climbing arsenal. This kit is designed to compliment our spur climbing kits and give you more options when you climb. The climbing line offers an additional tie-in point to increase your safety while working. The climbing line upgrade gives the user a rope and split tail assembly in a addition to the flipline that comes in the spur climbing starter kit. This enables the user to maintain two points of connection to the tree while cutting and to climb past obstacles such as branches without having to be untied. Because this upgrade comes with a split tail assembly for the rope, the rope can be used as a second flipline or as a climbing line. When used as a climbing line, the user has more mobility while climbing and need not stay on the main trunk of the tree. The climbing line can also be use to rappel to the ground in case of emergency. The items in this kit are ideal for creating a split tail system using the Blake's hitch.

• 2 Large D Positive Locking Carabiners
• 16-Strand Split Tail
• Small Brass Swivel Snap

Technical and Safety Information

• Arbormaster rope has an average breaking strength of 8,100 lbs.
• 16-strand split tail has a breaking strength of 5,400 lbs.
• CMI micro pulley has a breaking strength of 7,000 lbs.
• Large D Carabiners have breaking strengths of 5,850 lbs.
• Brass swivel snap is not load-rated (The snap does not bear a load in the split tail system)
