August 20th, Important Safety Recall

The Weaver Cougar saddle is temporarily unavailable and subject to manufacturer recall.

Models of the Cougar saddle sold after November 2009 may contain a faulty rope bridge. The new style of rope bridge which Weaver introduced at the start of the year is a solid black rope bridge and is being recalled.

If your Cougar has a solid black rope bridge, discontinue use immediately!

The older, yellow and black rope bridges are not affected by the recall.

We will have an official announcement from Weaver posted ASAP.

We apologize for the inconvenience and will work with anyone who has purchased a faulty saddle to have it taken care off with Weaver. While we wait for the official recall, please discontinue use of any Cougar saddle with a solid black rope bridge.

Last July we donated a portion of every dollar you spent at WesSpur.com to Homes for Our Troops, a fantastic organization which builds or modifies homes for U.S. soldiers who are returning home with life-changing injuries. We are doing it again this year and we hope to raise even more. Checkout the links below to find our more about what they do.

This Independence day, we will be honoring those who have sacrificed for our country by donating a percentage of every web order to Homes for Our Troops. This organization does a great service for severely wounded veterans, by building a new home or adapting an existing home for handicapped accessibility, at no cost to the veterans or their families. This organization is a highly rated, non-profit, non-partisan charity that does great work for the service men and women who have returned to the U.S.A. disabled or severely wounded. Check out some of their projects to benefit veterans.

The newest arborist saddle from Petzl is now available from WesSpur. The Sequoia Swing arborist saddle expands on the popularity of the Petzl Sequoia with a customizable, adjustable batten seat. This is one of the most innovative designs we've seen in a saddle in years, with quick-connect buckles, great padding and adjustability, and even adjustable width on the seat.

 

 

 

Week of March 15th

New Products Online

Yale Polydyne rigging line is now available in our rigging ropes section. This heavy-duty, double-braid rigging rope combines a polyester jacket for abrasion resistance with a nylon core for greater energy absorption and strength. Available in 3 diameters in pre-cut lengths, s600’ spools, and by the foot.

We also have a small update of clearance ropes, with some great pieces in the 100+ foot range. First come, first served.

Thorogood Lineman's boots are now online in 16” and 10” tops. These boots have some great features for spur climbing, including a raised heel, high top, steel shank, and safety toe, and are available at a very nice price.

Make sure WesSpur has your up-to-date address so that you will receive the 2010 catalog in the mail. If you purchased from us in 2009, we will automatically send you a 2010 catalog.
