Portable Winch

This is a great new item we have brought in to let you take serious pulling power anywhere you go.

This lightweight, portable, gas-powered winch has 2,500 lbs. pulling capacity. If you need to bring down hung-up trees, pull out-of-reach logs, or get a vehicle un-stuck, the Portable Winch is for you. The unit is easily carried and can be anchored to anything using the included 6'sling or the separate vehicle hitch plate. The Portable Winch can be used with any low-stretch rope and works great with double braid ropes like Stable Braid. The rope is tied to the object to be moved and wound three times around the capstan drum. When the engine is running, the capstan rotates continuously and the friction created by pulling on the free end of the rope pulls the object. Load will move at a speed from 25 to 40 feet/minute, depending on the weight of the load. We offer the winch unit, a protective case, a hitch plate to mount the winch onto a trailer hitch on pickup or ATV, and a receiver hitch to attach category III hitch receivers.

Hitch Plate

The hitch plate turns your pick-up truck or ATV into a pulling machine. Simply hook the winch to the plate using the safety hooks and slide the key-hole shape over your ball hitch and you're ready to pull. Fits balls up to 2'' (50 mm) diameter Weight: 1-3/4 lb (800 g).

Anchor Receiver Hitch

This receiver hitch is ideal to attach the winch to your vehicle. Its 2'' (50 mm) square tubing fits perfectly in Category III hitch receivers. Cushioned winch support plate pivots 45 degrees on either side, making the winch stable and self-aligning with the load. Fits square receiver of 2'' (50 mm) Weight: 15 lb (6.8 kg).

Tree Mount

Treee/pole mount with rubber pads, anchor strap 75 mm wide x 3 m long (3'' x 9.8'). This anchor system allows you to firmly attach the winch on a tree or a post which makes it easier for working from one point for extended periods of time. The winch can therefore be installed at a more confortable height and the pivoting support aligns the winch automatically with the load. To use it, you will need the receiver hitch winch anchor for 50 mm (2'') square tubing.

Skidder Cone

The skidding cone will prevent logs from being stopped by roots, stumps or residual trees. It also protects your valuable trees along the skid path from being damaged. Made of high-performance polymer plastic, the skidding cone is strong, yet flexible. Its 20" (51 cm) opening allows you to haul large logs or bunches of smaller logs or brush. Use it year round, down to temperatures of -30°C (-22°F).
