WesSpur Splicing: Viking Sewn Splice & Hand Splicing

WesSpur now has complete in-house splicing capabilities!

We have worked very hard of the last year to get our in-house splicing operation under way. We have full time splicers here to make all of our stock spliced ropes and other products as well as custom splices. We also are featuring a new, state of the art, rope splicing machine that is capable of sewing eye terminations on just about every rope we sell under =" in diameter, nylon webbing and most cordage as well. This means we can splice 12-strand ropes, which were not spliceable before!

The sewn eye termination has many advantages vs. hand-spliced eyes, including: higher overall strength, durability, and lower cost.

WesSpur has offered custom rope splicing for years, but until now our splicing was done in another state and added 3-5 days to the shipping time. Now custom ropes will be turned around and shipped out within one business day. Additionally, our full range of carabiners, rope clips, pulleys and other hardware can be added to your spliced product for your perfect custom gear.

Customer service personnel are available to discuss the options available to you, and rope splicing technicians are available to answer more technical questions.

Whatever your custom spliced project is - slings, lanyards, tow-lines - WesSpur can make it for you.

Most climbing lines and tree rigging lines we offer can be purchased with spliced eyes online, or you can add a custom hand-spliced eye to any length of rope for $25 on most 16-strand, 12-strand, and double-braid ropes, or $15 for most 3-strand ropes.

The new Viking sewn-eye splice is available on most 12-strand, 16-strand, and double-braid ropes up to 1/2” in diameter for only $15, and is available on ArborMaster® Bigfoot for only $10!

In addition to custom eyes on your climbing or rigging lines, we can create custom flipline lanyards with your choice of hardware built-in, tree rigging slings to your specifications, Amsteel Blue winchlines for your chipper or any other splicing project.
