Samson's Velocity is the lightest climbing line we sell. This 7/16" premium arborist line was developed by Samson specifically for tree care professionals who need quick and easy access to the tops of trees without being weighed down. Velocity has a unique construction, being a 24 strand spliceable double braid. It maintains a spliced strength of 6000 lb. Right out of the bag this rope has a broken in feel, is very flexible and runs well through hardware. This is the best climbing line for the weight-conscious arborist. Stiff-walled, reinforced rope bags, are one of the best ways to protect your climbing and rigging lines and deploy them quickly. A rope bag will keep your line from tangling on twigs and sticks. The original heat resistant prusik cord for emergency descents. 5/16” Ultra-tech is strong and has Technora core so it won't melt through. 5,400 lb. tensile. Spliced eyes. 30” overall. This is a great prusik for use with all ropes, and especially Samson ropes.
