5' BARC 2.0
8' BARC 2.0

Sterling's BARC basal anchor chains are high-strength, easily adjustable, and make a sling for quickly attaching hardware. BARC Either stands for “Big A** Rigging Chain” or “Basal Anchor Rigging Chain” - take your pick! Building on the popularity of Sterling's Chain Reactors, the BARC is made from 1" nylon webbing sewn into individual full-strength loops for an adjustable and incredibly strong chain. Designed for use as a basal anchor with your Port-a-Wrap or other device, the BARC can also accommodate your rigging block aloft.

5’ BARC can accommodate trees up to 19” in diameter; 8’ BARC is good for trees up to 32”.

ANSI Z133-2017

The American National Standards Institute (ANSI) has released the ANSI Z133 safety requirements which apply to arboricultural operations. Components of a rigging system must be used within their Working Load Limits.

This product is ANSI compliant when used within the manufacturer Working Load Limits.

A green log weight chart (found in the Samson Rigging Wheel) will aid in determining loads in tree rigging.

The full ANSI Z133 safety requirements are available on our tree care standards page.
