“I originally purchased some Arbormaster Hawkeye to work with my Petzl Zig Zag; however, even though the Petzl states that it'll run that size rope... it doesn't. “A winner. First job out of the box on a single rope Hitch Hiker/8mm UltraTech, 2 CMI Expedition hand ascenders and a CMI foot ascender: everything performed perfectly. The rope has an excellent limited stretch and stayed firm and round through the equipment. It is brighter than Velocity Cool and visibility is very good. Good hand. Good knots. Honestly, it is just a bit coarser than the other V-series lines: it doesn't quite have that silky sexy smooth feel of Velocity but the larger diameter is easier to handle. The 11.8mm size is good.
