Tree Cabling Equipment
Cabling is a specialized field of tree work whereby the woody structure of a tree is reinforced to provide stability for a tree that should remain in place, but has some structural liabilities. Tree cabling supplies were frequently requested here at Wesspur, so we brought them in. If there is a tree cabling product that you do not see here, please call or contact us through the web site and we will do our best to bring in the products you would like to see. Industry standard practices for cabling, bracing, & installing tree support systems are covered in the ANSI A300 Support Systems Standard.
Lengths of cable are oversized items and therefore do not qualify for the free shipping. We will contact you with an accurate shipping quote and your choice of shipping methods before finalizing your order.
Common Grade Tree Cable
1/4” Cable - 1,900 lb. Breaking Strength
5/16” Cable - 3,200 lb. Breaking Strength
3/8” Cable - 4,250 lb. Breaking Strength
Common grade tree cable is suitable for many cabling jobs and is spliceable. Common grade tree cable is available in three diameters.
Extra High Strength Tree Cable
1/4” Cable - 6,650 lb. Breaking Strength
5/16” Cable - 11,200 lb. Breaking Strength
3/8” Cable - 15,400 lb. Breaking Strength
Extra High Strength tree cable is suitable for tree cabling jobs requiring high breaking strengths. EHS cable is not spliceable. Extra High Strength tree cable is available in three diameters.

Klein Haven's Grip
This grip is designed for a light, compact grip when pulling cable. Gripping pressure of the knurled jaw is applied to 1/4” cable area. Max load of 5,000 lb. Accepts cable diameters from 1/8” to 1/2”.
Chicago Grip
The Chicago Grip is a cable grip for use on EHS cable. When used as a pull point to tension a cable, the Chicago grip will not crimp or bend the line like traditional cable grips because it's jaws are flat instead of curved.
