Steel-Core Fliplines
Steel-core fliplines add an extra degree of safety to working with a chain saw in the tree. Steel-core fliplines are chain saw resistant and reduce the risk of the lanyard being accidentally severed, but caution must always be used in the tree. Several diameters and brands are available. These fliplines are also available here in our complete flipline kits.
5/8" High Visibility Steel-Core Flipline
Auto-locking steel swivel snaps have a 5,000 lb. breaking strength. The 1/4" steel aircraft-grade cable forms an eye at each end over a steel thimble. The eyes are formed by crimping with an improved bracket which helps to extend the working life of the flipline. These fliplines are featured with a mechanical flipline adjuster and auto-locking carabiner in our complete flipline kits

1/2" Yale Steel-Core Maxi-Flip Flipline
Yale steel-core fliplines in 1/2” diameter offer the great construction of Yale Maxi-flip fliplines but in a smaller, lighter package.
5/8" Yale Steel-Core Maxi-Flip Flipline
The 3/16” steel aircraft cable in the center of Yale fliplines is actually hand spliced using the superior Flemish Eye technique to form the eyes; resulting in higher strength and less wear fatigue. The synthetic rope cover is held securely in place with a press fitting. An auto locking steel clip is attached to a steel thimble at the lead end. Yale fliplines are a local favorite for their strength, durability, and the comfortable, full grip that they provide.

1/2" (11.7mm) Yale Maxi-Flip Sport Flipline
Maxi-Flip Sport is the lightest wire-core flipline on the market. In addition to shaving off 25% of the weight, the Maxi-Flip Sport lanyards have a 16-strand cover instead of a 12, which makes them more abrasion resistant due to the tighter weave and allows mechanical adjusters to slide more easily because of the smoother surface. They also come with a new style of aluminum snap made by ISC, which shaves weight without being harder to open. The Sport has the same great Flemish eye-splice in the 7/32” cable that prevents flex fatigue and extends life over to other fliplines swaged (crimped) eyes.
Yale Maxi-Flip 1/2” Double Snap Steel-Core Fliplines
Yale’s Maxiflip fliplines are the best-manufactured steel core fliplines a vial able, with Flemish eye splices in the cable instead of swagged eyes. This increases the strength and wear-life of the flipline. Now available in a double-snap version which can be used with a hip prusik to form a 2-in-1 flipline. 1/2” Double Snap Steel-Core Flipline
1/2” high-visibility double snap flipline is perfect for using with the Klimair adjuster or a prusik cord to create a steel-core 2-in-1 flipline kit. Auto-locking steel snaps on steel thimbles at each end, crimped eyes. High visibility polyester rope over 1/4” steel aircraft carabiner.
