Bashlin Tree Gaffs

Bought both pole and tree gaffs, thought I'd be sending these back and ended up using them more . I'm just a homeowner working in mostly dead oak. I couldn't get much purchase with the pole gaffs , had no problems after switching to the tree gaff, excellent bite. They are a full 2 1/2 long so they extend past the the flat plane of the stirrup 7/16" which means they're in the dirt unless you have very high heel boots. In Missouri one of our main crops are rocks so I carry a small piece of plywood to strap up on. I am pleased with these but do wish bashlin had a 2 1/4" offering.
