Complete Courant Stileo wire core flipline with Twister swivel carabiner and adjuster.
The Courant Stileo wire core flipline gives you the added security of steel cable with excellent flexibility and handling. The Stileo lanyard is 16-strand arborist rope braided over a 6mm steel cable. This 12mm (just under 1.2") lanyard is lightweight with enough rigidity to flip up the tree.
We have chosen to stock the Stileo with Twister swivel carabiner. The gate action on the the Twister is secure and opens like a double-action carabiner. Many will appreciate this over the typical rope snap used on fliplines.
Courant's adjuster is simple and intuitive to use, and grips the Stileo lanyard when you lean your weight on it. Connect the adjuster to your climbing harness with your double-locking carabiner of choice. Flipline can be reverse to ensure even wear.

Happy medium between traditional wire core flipline & rope lanyard

I've had this flipline for about 2 years. I love the nimble feel and ability to sloop it while spurring up larger diameter stems like a rope lanyard while still having the peace of mind knowing that its a wire core. It is not nearly as rigid as a traditional wire core flipline but I like that about it. The adjuster is very ergonomic, but the only negative is that the grooves on the rope grab adjuster have worn out sooner than other styles of rope grabs I've used. It will still hold my weight while standing in my spurs, but if I am pushing against the stem while blocking wood down or firewood chunking, the adjuster slowly slips similar to a rope runner slipping with a worn out friction body.
I'm 5'9" 175lbs with no gear on for reference.
