This version of the Tsurugi has a curved blade shape for a more aggressive cut when reaching above shoulder height. The Tsurugi’s slim blade can easily fit into tight crotches without damage to opposing limbs due to its slender frame. Impulse-hardened, chrome plated teeth stay sharp longer than any other brand of saw. Comfortable 2-part rubber grip provides optimal grip for arborists, allows replacing blades with no tools needed.

Put into service in 2016 and still cutting fast.

I am impressed with the cutting power and longevity of this blade, having used the same one exclusively for hand cutting since 2016. The scabbard holds well and is strapped to my leg for every climb. I would not climb without this saw.
My Side Kick

I've gone through several of these saws. I like the narrow blade and the light weight. I'm not so fond of the handle. the rubber occasionally separates. the plastic part of the sheath has broken where the aluminum tube connects. Overall, it's still my favorite blade.
