A unique feature of Rock Exotica's auto-locking carabiners is a pull-down gate. Making the first motion of opening the carabiner gate a pull-down rather than a push-up makes these carabiners easier to open one-handed, with gloves, or when reaching above the climber's head. This motion is more intuitive and natural for your hand than lifting up and away from your palm. Once you try it, you"re likely to never go back! (If you do want a push-up sleeve, that's now available in the Up-Rock Carabiners.
