Best rigging carabineer

by Galen

In 12 years of tree service this has been my favorite rigging carabineer. Strong, cheep, easy to tie off with an anchor bend at the narrow end.

Rugged and good value

by Ian

This is one of those carabiners that you might as well get at least three of. You'll always have uses for them and for the price, they're unbeatable. I have about seven of these and the quality is the same between all of them. People with smaller hands may find that this takes them two hands to operate, as opposed to some others.

Consider this

by Rick S.

The problem with fixed sideplate micropulleys is to not pull the sideplates together and to keep it in line with the pulling force which rules out most 'biners and a loop of rope. To select a 'biner you'd hold it up by the small end and check to see how straight and level the big end is. This Tacoma does that if the strop or holder upper thing is of small diameter. A larger diameter holding up rope or strap would move the point away from the spine and defeat the gains. Users of fixed sideplate micropulleys this should interest you and it got 4 stars because I'm not so sure of the price. The spring closing the gate is a little strong but the diameter of the gate is larger than most which helps. The 60KN rating should give several uses for these.
