The Clogger Zero chainsaw pants are cool and light but still tough with a ripstop outer and abrasion resistant sections. Designed for the climbing arborist who works in hot conditions.

The A-style construction gives you frontal protection where it is most needed. Large cooling vents in the Zeros allow body heat to escape faster. The uuter fabric is specially engineered to move moisture away from the skin, while 4-way stretch fabric gives you greater flexibility and range of movement in the tree. The Clogger Zeros move with you in the tree, keeping you protected without getting in the way.

Extra abrasion resistance is worked into the fabric from the knee down to keep your high-wear areas from wearing out too fast. There is also a new, high-strength fabric reinforcement in the back to stop all the little tears caused by saw teeth when hanging the saw on the harness. The legs on the Zeros are extra-long for more freedom of movement when stretching along a limb or climbing on spurs.

The thigh pockets on the Zeros give you easy access to even when you're already in your harness; zippered pockets keep your small items safe, and distinctive zipper pulls make them easy to open even in gloves. Extra pockets and convenient cell phone pocket. The pockets can now be turned inside out to empty saw chips, dust, etc. before washing.

This MK II revision of the Clogger Zero chainsaw trousers offers great, breathable and cool protection, with increased durability.

Durable, seams chafe when spurring

by FTS

Decent protection, reinforcements where they are needed, durable, still pretty warm though. If I use these in temps over 70, I’m sweating badly. Motorcycle clothing has vents everywhere and still vents & protects well. These pants could use some more vents high on the inner thigh. I also develop a pretty uncomfortable chafe where the stitching on the inside of the calf sits against the pads of my spurs. To overcome this, I wear ski socks that come to just below the knee to pad the stitching in the pants.

Love’m

by PNW wood cutter and now climber

I agree with the other review; any temps over 70, Im sweating badly. I do enjoy the use of the reverse direction zippers, although in my sequoia harness the thigh pockets prove problematic to access. The pants have held up for 3 years with regular seasonal use until the other day a fir stub tore the cover layer. Didn’t feel a thing til I was on the ground and saw a new flap on my pants. But, these days, that many seasons from a pair of pants is unheard of for any price let alone one that has been wood cutting, climbing, and ground working for 3 seasons. Ive made full use of the reinforcements in the knees and other high wear areas. It has resisted tearing from plenty of branches, stubs, and other stretches when you trip on a snag or brush against a trunk or scrape against any number of obstacles. Ive been pleased, hence why Im back for another pair. Yeah, it even does well with pitch. Helps to use the anti pitch solvent zappr, man that stuff works great on everything.
